How do you become a Bonner?
To become a Bonner Leader, students first fill out an application which includes short essay questions that allow the Bonner Leader Program Team to get to know about you, your goals, and your passions in life. After applying, some students are asked to come in for an interview. The Bonner Leader Program team selects students for the Bonner Program based on a variety of factors including things like a history of community engagement, passion for social justice, and desire to contribute positively to building the Bonner community on campus. Students selected to be a part of the program are open to growing in their own leadership, responsibility, and perceptions.

What or who is a Bonner?

Bonner Leaders work with their peers and community members to make a positive change. A Bonner Leader is someone who has compassion for those who are marginalized/under served. They are the leaders who listen and advocate for those without a voice. They are the ones who disrupt the balance of injustice and strive to make equal opportunities for all to live and prosper. Bonners are the leaders on campus whose passions direct their life into meaningful careers that help serve those in need. Bonners are the ones on campus sitting and growing with other students, the ones who want to make a change in the world, the ones who want to make a change in their lives as well as help those around them.
